This is a courtesy listing for a cat not in BCRO: We have been fostering Nutmeg and Peppercorn for more than 2 months. When they came to us, rescued from an alley, Peppercorn looked like a little tiny skeleton. Nutmeg, while bigger and more robust than her sister, was still small. For the first three weeks, we got up in the night to give them an extra meal so they wouldn't go all night without eating. While at first we had to syringe feed them, they soon started eating a little with coaxing and then started eating more normally and gaining weight as time went on. Now, at approximately 13 weeks of age, they are two beautiful, feisty, little angels. They are sweet, purring cuddlers, and they are rambunctious, mischievous jumpers and runners. In short, they are everything that kittens should be. Still, we are concerned that they are both small and Nutmeg is slow to gain weight, all probably due to their "bad start" in life. We just adore them and want them to go to a home that will give them the care and love they need and deserve. Anybody who gets these little kitties will be the lucky ones, indeed. As an incentive to getting these guys into the best home for them, we are offering kitty-sitting services in our home for Peppercorn and Nutmeg when their new forever parents are traveling (unless, of course, we're traveling at the same time).
