Senior Alaskan Eskimo Dog
Posted December 29, 2009

If anyone can take this dog into their rescue or foster this little dog, I will try to get someone to meet me halfway to get her...(Prescott, AZ) She really deserves a chance poor thing...They have her listed on CRAIGSLIST for FREEEEE! ugghhh...If I can get someone to meet me I can possibly do it as early as this weekend.. This is the ad on CL:

Older American Eskimo dog needs to go to good home. She is gentle and would be great for an older couple or single person. She has white long hair and is about 20lbs. She has been accustomed to being an inside pet. She is about 11 years old and needs some TLC. Please call Yvette at 928-848-4673.

And this is the email I got from a contact in AZ:

URGENT PLEASE SEE BELOW, VERY SAD SITUATION 11 YEAR OLD WHITE ESKIMO DOG HAS BEEN PASSED AROUND ALL THROUGH THE FAMILY. FIRST THE DOG WAS WITH THE FATHER IN-LAW, THEN PASSED TO THE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, THEN PASSED TO HER DAUGHTER IN-LAW SHE HAS FOUR HUSKY'S AND IS PREGNANT NOW AND DOESN'T WANT THE DOG. THE DOG HAS PRETTY MUCH BEEN LEFT OUTSIDE PRETTY MUCH AND SADLY PASSED AROUND THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND NOW NOBODY WANTS THE POOR BABY. THERE SHOWS NO PICTURE HERE BUT I BELIEVE IF YOU GO ON TO CRAIGS LIST IN PRESCOTT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO FIND A PICTURE OR POSSIBLY SOMEONE WILL START CIRCULATING ONE. TO TOP THAT ONE THEY ARE LISTING HIM ON CRAIGS LIST AS FREE, SO WE ALL KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO HIM THAT WAY. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN OR CROSS POST FAR AND WIDE.

"I just spoke with Yvette to find out what's going on with the 11 year old dog.......the dog was originally the father-in-laws dog and then she (Yvette) had the dog for about 3 years. Yvette is in a rental home and had to pick between her cats and the dog; well, the cats won and Yvette said it was a "blessing for her" as the dog has long hair, needs to be groomed and she has allergies. So, the dog went to her daughter-in-law, who has 4 huskies, and now the daughter-in-law is pregnant and does not want to fool with the 11 year old. The dog has been with the daughter-on-law for over a year and the dog has been living outside majority of the time.

No one has stepped up for the dog and it is very disturbing in hearing how the dog is no longer wanted, especially when the dog has been in the family for majority of its life.

PLEASE PLEASE this does not sound like a good situation for the poor senior dog. If anyone can help out, please contact Yvette at 928-848-4673. I only have her phone number from the posting below and there was no picture of the dog."
